also hab seit einiger zeit ja auch die platte der band...

und muss zugeben, dass sie mir echt gut gefallen....rock der feinsten art...ab und zu auch pop mit drin, aber das passt schon...

sehr gute platte....

...schön das Du das auch so siehst...LIVE sind die allerdings echt ein paar Spuren "zügiger" zugange...geniale Musiker, (fast) schon zu perfekte Live-Band...hoffe das ich sie mal wieder sehen kann nächstes Jahr...am besten wieder zusammen mit Anathema...das wärn Traum...*träum*

Ideale sind wie Sterne: Sie sind nicht zu erreichen, aber man kann sich an ihnen orientieren.

The Tree's first ever DVD release Arriving Somewhere... will be released in two months time. The final tracklisting of the DVD is still under wraps, but the Porcupine Tree Website gives us the following info:
The first ever Porcupine Tree live DVD Arriving Somewhere... is in the final stages of production, and release dates are as follows:

UK/Europe (Snapper) - 9th October
USA (Snapper) - 10th October
Japan (WHD Entertainment) - 27th September

Prior to retail release the DVD will be available from the Porcupine Tree Store from early September, with pre-orders due to start in mid-August. It will also be available to buy at the merchandise stand throughout the band's forthcoming tour. The first 2,000 copies bought directly from the band will be numbered and come with an exclusive set of 6 postcards.

The DVD is a 2-disc set. Disc one is a full show from the Deadwing tour filmed at Park West, Chicago in Oct 2005, with the soundtrack mixed in stereo and 5.1 surround sound. Disc two includes bonus live performances of Futile and Radioactive Toy from German TV show Rockpalast, the Lazarus promo clip, the live films used during the show for Start of Something Beautiful (by Przemyslaw Vshebor and Lasse Hoile), Halo, and Mother and Child Divided (both by Lasse Hoile), Gavin Harrison's Cymbal Song (also in 5.1 sound), a photo gallery, and exclusive mixes and music created especially for the gallery and credits on the DVD.

P.S. - Unfortunately Lasse Hoile's full length documentary on Porcupine Tree was not ready in time for inclusion on the second disc of the DVD. With 4 years and 250 hours (!) of footage to go through, and with the amount of work involved in editing and producing the concert footage, the rockumentary had to be put aside on this occasion, but it remains a work in progress for unveliing at a (much) later date.

Roadrunner Records U.K. has announced the signing of epic rockers PORCUPINE TREE.

PORCUPINE TREE is unquestionably one of the most difficult-to-categorise and innovative bands out there. The music is breathtaking, ranging from psychedelic trip-hop to progressive metal, and a compendium of other sounds in between.

Evolving from one man's self-indulgent creative outlet back in 1992, PORCUPINE TREE has grown into a well-respected major-label-signed four-piece who have released several albums. Their most recent, 2005's "Deadwing", served to further skyrocket the band's renown and they are currently hard at work on a brand new record — set for release on Roadrunner (excluding North America and Japan) in early 2007.

The band is fronted by singer/guitarist Steven Wilson, who also is well-known for his production work (OPETH, ANJA GARBAREK) and other musical projects: NO-MAN, BASS COMMUNION, and BLACKFIELD — the highly acclaimed collaboration with Israeli musician Aviv Geffen. Richard Barbieri (keyboards), Colin Edwin (bass), and Gavin Harrison (drums) complete the quartet.
